God's Busy 하나님은 바뻐 If you don't know GOD, don't make stupid remarks!!!!!!! 하나님을 알지 못하면, {그에게} 어리석은 소리 하지 말라!!! A United States Marine was attending some college courses between assignments.  He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan .  One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU. 한 미군해병이 전선근무에서 쉬는 동안 대학강의를 듣고 있었다. 그는 이락과 아프가니스탄에서 직무를 마쳤었다. 그가 택하는 강의중의 하나에, 공공연히 무신론자라고 주장하는 ACLU: American Civil Liberties Union(미국 시민 자유 동맹)의 회원인 교수님이 있었다. One day the professor shocked the class when he came in he looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, 'God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform.  I'll give you exactly 15 minutes.'  The lecture room fell silent.  You could hear a pin drop. 어느 날 그 교수는 강의실에 들어오자 마자 천장을 바라 보며 "하나님, 당신이 정말 살아 있다면, 이 강단에서 나를 녹 다운시키(쳐 넘기)시요.  내가 15분 주리다."라고 말하여 학생들을 크게 놀라게 했다. 강의실은 조용해 졌다. 바늘이 떨어지는 소리 맞어 들릴듯 싶었다. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, 'Here I am God.  I'm still waiting.'  It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him, knocking him off the platform.  The professor was out cold. 10분이 지나자 그 교수는 "하나님, 내가 여기서 계속 기다립니다."라고 소리쳤다. 거의 일 이분이 남았을 때 그 해병이 자리에서 일어나 교수에 다가가 그를 단 한번에 강단에서 녹 다운시켰다.  교수는 의식을 모두 잃었다.   The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently.  The other students were shocked, stunned, and sat there looking on in silence.  The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, 'What the heck is the matter with you?  Why did you do that?'  The Marine calmly replied, 'God was too busy today protecting American soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid stuff and act like an idiot.  So, He sent me.' 해병은 다시 제 자리로 가서 조용히 앉았다. 다른 학생들은 크게 놀라 어안이 벙벙해서 의자에 앉아 가만히 바라보고 있었다. 교수님은 마침내 제 정신에 돌아와서 보기에도 아직도 떨리는 상태에서 해병을 째려 보며 물었다. "이게 뭐하는 짓이야?  왜 그랬어?" 그러자 해병은 침착하게 답했다. "하나님은 어리석은 소리를 하며 바보처럼 행동하는 교수님의 권리를 보호하고 있는 미군들을 보호 하시느라고 오늘 너무 바쁘시지요. 그래서 하나님은 절 대신 보낸 겁니다." THIS IS GOOD.  KEEP IT GOING 이거 시원한데. 계속 그리 하세. But it is not at all God honoring. God, by His omni powerful nature, can never be BUSY. 위의 이야기는 육신의 생각에는 듣기 시원하다.  그러나 하나님의 이름을 높이는 이야기는 전혀 아니다. 하나님은 전능하신 그의 성품에 의해서 결코 바쁠 수가 없다.   God, in His definite wise reasons, let the wicked have their time on this earth, deferring His justice until the appointed time at the last day. 하나님은 그의 현명하고 확실한 이유로 해서 말세에 정해진 시기까지 그의 정의를 지연시키며 사악한자들이 이 세상에서 한 때를 갖게 한다. This Marine acted exactly like Abram and Sarai when they decided to help God by making arrangement that Abram had a son when Sarai could not conceive for the promised son (Genesis 16:2). What an awful time Christians would have to go through, due to the birth of Ishmael, the father of Islam race. Such act of men trying to help God on their own initiative is known to be "acting wiser than God", "going before God", "taking matters in their own hands, " or if I borrow a biblical term being "wise in his own conceit". 이 해병은 약속의 아들을 사래가 임신하지 못할 때 아브람이 아들을 갖게 하게끔 조치를 취해서 하나님을 도우려 한 아브람과 사래와 (창세기 16:2) 똑같이 행세했다. 이슬람의 선조인 이시마엘이 낳음으로서 그리스도인들이 얼마나 처참한 시기를 거쳐야 했나? 그 처럼 자기들의 독창력으로 하나님을 도우려는 행위는 "하나님보다 더 잘난체한다", "하나님 앞서 가고", "자기손으로 일을 처리하는 것으로", 성경의 표현을 빌리자면 "자기의 생각에 현명한" 것이라고 일컫는다.   Moses made the same kind of mistake when he struck the rock twice (numbers 20:11) when he was told to speak to it. So also king Saul made the same kind of mistake when he offered sacrifice by himself (1 Samuel 13:9) when he was told to wait until Samuel arrived. Do I need to mention Uzzah who was struck dead by lending his hand to steady the cart which carried tabernacle of God (2 Samuel 6:6)? 모세도 바위에다 말하라고 명 받았을 때 바위를 두 번 때리 쳤을 때 (민수기 20:11) 같은 실수를 했다. 또한 사무엘 제사장이 올 때까지 기다리라고 말 들었을 때 기다리지 않고 자신이 직접 제사를 올린 사울왕도 (사무엘상 13:9) 같은 실수를 했다. 주님의 궤를 실은 수레를 바로 잡으려고 손을 내밀었다가 맞아 죽은 웃사에 (사무엘하 6:6) 대해서도 언급할 필요가 있을 가? Children of God are commanded not to render evil to evil but good, patiently waiting for God to be the ultimate judge, leaving vengeance to Him. 하나님의 자녀들은 악에 악으로 대하지 말고 선으로 대하며 앙갚음은 하나님에게 맡기고 하나님으로 하여금 최후의 판사가 되도록 인내로 기다리라고 명받고 있다.    "Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.  If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all  men." Romans 12:17-18 아무에게도 악으로 악을 갚지 말고, 모든 사람 앞에서 정직한 일을 도모하라. 가능한 한 너희 편에서는 모든 사람과 더불어 화목하게 지내라.   "See that none render evil for evil unto any [man]; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all [men]." 1 Thessalonians 5:15 아무에게도 악으로 악을 갚지 말고, 오히려 너희 자신들 가운데서와 모든 사람들에게 선을 항상 따르라.   Every time Christians were persecuted, good news of Jesus Christ had spread like wild fire on the prairies.
